My Inspiration Has Gone to the Dogs…

Sometimes we don't realize who needs us which includes man's best friend!

During one of my weekly virtual events called Coffee with Kelly, my friend Liz shared that she recently purchased one of my inspirational quote decks. She was excited to receive it and immediately began reading the different quotes. These are quotes that I had been writing over the course of the last two years. I packaged them into a deck of cards and hand them out to friends who need encouragement.

Little did she know that someone else in her home must have also needed encouragement last week. She went to retrieve the cards and noticed that they were no longer on the coffee table where she had left them on the night before — they were in fact gone. She began looking on other tables to see if she may have left them elsewhere and just forgot.

As she approached the next room, she noticed that her Goldendoodle puppy "Bella" seemed to be busy in her dog bed chewing on her bone and looking content as can be. As she looked closer, she also noticed a bright orange color underneath her but couldn't figure out what it was.

Well, the quote deck mystery had been solved! Bella was the culprit, she had taken my mantra, "Ignite, Inspire, Achieve" quite literally. When no one was looking, she stole the deck of inspiration and carried it to a slobbery fate where she applied her intentional goal of chewing each card until they were wet and torn.

My friend noticed that Bella seemed to be extremely happy that morning. After she realized what she had done, it all made sense!

Perhaps dogs need some positive encouragement too during COVID-19 and Bella must have found some "bone a fide" inspiration in that deck of quote cards I wrote.

If you want to sink your teeth into my original quote deck, you too can order your deck here

Chew on that!
