This is Something Leaders Should NOT Be Ignoring…

According to Gallup, 51% of the workforce is not engaged and 13% are actively disengaged.

That is not something leaders should be ignoring.

You’ve heard of office politics and might think of them as a negative element in the workplace. Savvy leaders, however, view these politics as a neutral and necessary part of life and know how to strategically navigate within that hierarchy to organize and advance goals.

Think of every person in your office as an individual puzzle piece that contributes to the whole in a unique and helpful way. Getting to know the strengths of each person will help you better understand where to turn when you need help getting a difficult message through to your team, or if you’re looking to make a change.

When you know the strengths of the people you’re working with, you’ll be better able to inspire the team in the right direction and increase engagement.

It may sound silly, but there are lots of personality tests out there that are helpful, ESPECIALLY for the workplace.  I have taken pretty much all of them and found value in them, but there is one that by far, has made the greatest impact in both my professional and personal life: CliftonStrengths by Gallup.

Not only has understanding my natural talents and strengths given me confidence as a leader and business owner, but it has also impacted my family life and wellbeing.

Over the past five years building The Kelly Merbler Company, my team and I have been able to coach hundreds of teams around their strengths and co-create a strengths-based culture: Check out this video!

This is not a job to me, this is a calling and my goal this year is to build more of them with leaders and teams who want to focus on employee engagement, communication, and breaking silos.

Now, you may have a great culture, but have you thought about taking it to the next level?

Here are a few leaders that have shared what they have learned from my Strengths-Based Leadership program: Check out this video!

When we know who we are, we understand the value we bring.

Cheers to Strengths-Based Teams!
