ARE YOU A BRINGER OR A BELCHER?

It is your choice – Bacon or Baloney?

On January 23rd, I experienced one of the most inspiring weekends of my life. I was part of a transformational movement set to begin in our country. This event served as the launch of John Maxwell’s latest new book, Change Your World.

Back in 2016, I was part of this movement which began in the country of Paraguay where it helped to develop over 2 million leaders in that country. I had been waiting five years for this moment to finally arrive in our country. Having been a part of that original launch was so special and meaningful to me.

John organized a 5k walk called Transformathon to kick off the moment right here in West Palm Beach and I was given the opportunity to invite some of my closest friends and clients to be a part of it. Amazingly, 68 of my tribe had said “YES” to being a part of that special day and came to the park to walk with us.

I had no idea what would lie ahead and quite frankly, I was just so over the moon to be there during this moment. As I soaked it all in and began our 5k, I suddenly heard my name called and I was asked to come to the front of the line to walk alongside my mentor, the one and only, John Maxwell. I still feel as if I am dreaming from that moment, but to say the least, it was incredibly special to have been right there, right beside John talking about transformation.

As we were walking, John began to speak about me and shared that I was a “make it happen” leader and that I was someone who always took whatever project he gave me by the horns and would not quit until I brought it home. He shared that in life, there are many people who prefer to choose to “belch out the baloney, instead of bring home the bacon.” I love that analogy and it makes me think of how we all have a choice to go after what we want in life. Will it be easy? Never, but as John taught me, everything in life worthwhile will be uphill.

It is such a simple and funny analogy, but it is easy to remember when we are feeling like we cannot go on and times get hard. For me, the most I have learned in my growth has always been in between the start and the finish. The true prize is in the process of our growth, not the finish line.

It’s what makes us stronger and makes us better.

Plus, bacon for me is always better than baloney.

If you want to be a part of the Change Your World movement we need you! All the information you need can be found right here so take a moment and see what we are up to:

To your growth,

Kelly
