This Reminds Me What Truly Matters

Some moments in life remind us of what truly matters. This Valentine’s Day was one of those moments.

Our Cupid Crew set out with one simple mission—deliver love. Armed with handwritten Valentine’s cards and beautiful roses, we partnered with the Alzheimer's Community Care Daycare Center in Wellington, not knowing how the Alzheimer's patients would respond, but hoping to bring a little light to their day. What happened next was something I will always cherish.

Faces lit up as we handed them a single rose. Some smiled, some held the flower close, and some simply stared at their card, reading their name over and over. A name—something so personal, so uniquely theirs. In a world where so much can be forgotten, seeing their name written just for them was a moment of recognition, of connection.

It wasn’t the roses or the cards themselves that made this day so special—it was the feeling behind them. The warmth, the human connection, the reminder that they are seen, they are valued, and they are loved.

This project, The Senior Significance Project, started as a simple idea: to bring joy to those who often feel forgotten. But every year, it gives us something just as meaningful in return. It grounds us. It fills our hearts. It reminds us that love isn’t about grand gestures or material things—it’s about showing up, being present, and making someone feel special, even if just for a moment.

As I reflect on the day, I realize once again that these small acts of kindness are what truly matter in life. Love, after all, is the greatest gift we can give.

I hope this recap video brings you into the room with us, so you can feel the love that filled every corner. 💜🌹 Click here to watch!

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible, especially Jet Fresh Flower Distributors & Jet Fresh Flower Growers, S.A., for their generous sponsorship. Your support helped us touch so many hearts.

Until next year, Cupid Crew. Let’s keep spreading love.
