Help Me PLAY It Forward
November has finally arrived, and it is my favorite month of the year! The seasons are changing, and the weather eventually begins to cool off here in Florida. Most importantly, this month contains my favorite holiday – THANKSGIVING!
I do not know about you, but Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it truly centers around family and being grateful for what we have. Not to mention, who does not love a delicious Thanksgiving feast, stretchy sweatpants, and a good football game rivalry on the same day?
The month of November also has a designated WORLD KINDNESS DAY on the 13th and the world can always use more kindness in it!
One of my core values – personally and professionally – is to make it a regular practice to ‘Give Back’ in my community. I find there is a direct correlation to my success and happiness by consistently providing for my community.
Many people are experiencing a tough year, and yet I see so many people sharing acts of kindness during this challenging time. I want to do my part as well by giving back to organizations that are serving others in our world.
In contrast to large companies, I do not have fortunes or truckloads of products to donate, but I frequently provide my knowledge and expertise as a leadership consultant to help lift others up. You can bet that I will strive to do my part in honor of spreading more kindness throughout the month of November. As such, I am donating one of my leadership development programs to a non-profit organization to say ‘thank you’ for all you do for others.
This will be the gift that keeps on giving.
When you take the time to develop your employees and build on your culture, that translates to ROI, which creates momentum in a business.
I hear all the time how funds typically made available for employee development have been eliminated, yet the desire to do this for your team remains strong within many companies. This opportunity would give your team a much-needed boost of inspiration and an experience to learn more about each other as leaders.
If your organization is a 501c3 non-profit and would like to put your hat in the ring for this offer, please send me an email. All I ask is that you provide details regarding why you want to do this for your team. You can be located anywhere in the U.S. since it will be conducted in a virtual setting, for up to fifteen team members, before the end of 2020.
If you know of a non-profit that deserves this act of kindness, I would love for you to nominate the Executive Director and the non-profit they lead, and tell me why you feel they deserve this gift of team development.
I will take nominations up until 5 pm EST on November 15th and I will announce the winner later that week.
I look forward to hearing from you!
